UMKC 信息服务 provides optional Internet access 和 computer support for summer conference participants. Please refer to one of the following sections 了解更多信息.

All requests for in-residence internet access for summer conferences must come from the conference organizer or a designated UMKC faculty or staff member. 上网费用如下(按每个帐户计算):

  • Rate for people accessing the internet while staying in a residential room on campus:

  • University affiliated conference organizers are expected to coordinate all Internet access fees from participants along with initial UMKC account 和 password information. IS will only accept MoCodes from conference organizers for Internet access—no cash or checks will be accepted.   • Large requests for Internet access should be submitted a minimum of 2 weeks in advance of the conference.
  • Conference organizers should communicate to participants the importance of having their computers updated with the most current security patches 和 updates prior to arriving on campus. 这将帮助访问者更快地建立联系.
  • Internet connectivity in the dorm rooms will require a network cable; wireless connectivity is available in the common areas.

Requesting Summer Conference Accounts For UMKC Affiliated 夏季会议


To register your group for Internet access accounts, please download 和 complete the 夏季会议帐户申请表. The following information is necessary for each account requested:

The following prerequisites need to be met before you connect to the UMKC network:
  • Users intending to use the wired in-room network jack must bring their own network cable.
  • Your computer must have the most recent security patches/updates installed (please see below 了解更多信息).
  • UMKC 信息服务 blocks Peer-to-Peer (P2P) file sharing programs from use on the UMKC network. Computers with active peer-to-peer software will have all network access blocked! 出于这个原因, it is important to make sure you do not have any peer-to-peer software installed before you connect to the UMKC network.

We also recommend you configure your anti-virus program to download 和 install updates automatically.

重要的信息

Guests staying in the residence halls 和 using the campus network should note the following:
